Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to all customers
Greet patients and check them in and out, ensuring demographics are correct
Collect appropriate co-pays and adhere to cash handling policies
Schedule appointments and verify correct visit type and primary care provider
Manage waiting room cleanliness and assist all patients
Work with back office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Resolve service issues and complaints
Process incoming films/CDs and track their location
Ensure requests for outside images are processed timely
Mail out imaging results to providers
Rotate within Imaging Departments as needed
Assist co-workers with duties and processing referrals
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
BLS certified (or able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire)
1+ years of customer service experience
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to travel 10% of the time with an independent means of transportation during work hours for job-related tasks
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
1+ years of experience with insurance programs and basic managed care principles such as referrals and prior authorization
1+ years of experience utilizing process-related tools such as electronic referral and medical record systems
Medical terminology, basic knowledge of PACS systems
Knowledge of medical terminology
Understanding of insurance programs and basic managed care principles such as referrals
Understanding of diagnosis coding (CPT/ICD-10) as it relates to referral requirements
Bilingual in Spanish/English
