Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and play a pivotal role in maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles. Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns when on call
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
18 years of age or older
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English proficiently
Meet physical and safety requirements
Provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with DPF systems and diagnostic software (e.g., Premium Tech Tool)
