Job Description
Join Hartford Hospital's Surgical Critical Care team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Play a vital role in delivering care to complex surgical and trauma patients in the ICU, supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine physical examinations
Formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans for patients
Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs
Provide appropriate treatment within the scope of practice
Refer patients to physicians or specialists as needed
Required Qualifications
Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent critical care experience in an ICU setting
Proficiency in ventilator management, resuscitation, and performing critical care procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working independently in a night shift environment
