TotalMed Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Position Details: CVICU 12 HR PM; every other weekend and every other holiday At least 1 years exp in cardiac surgery No locals accepted (locals are considered to be 50 miles away from the facility) BLS, ACLS Manager wants to interview after clinical - (this may delay an offer up to at least 24 hours) Unit Specific Details: 5 bed ICU Must be able to recover fresh hearts (will recover, extubate, pull chest tubes) Patients sitting up by the next morning Patient population is pretty stable will stay on the unit for the entirety of their stay (generally 4-5 days)Vasopressors, blood, sedation, paralytics CVLs, temporary HD caths, Swan catheters, Impella, balloon pump, CRRTVentilator, BiPapSupport staff is RT, 2-3 nurses on unitNeed to be very independent and confident with taking fresh post op CABG, AVR/MVR
