Key Responsibilities
Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range
Conduct cost analyses and develop design criteria
Select conductors and perform shielding, grounding, and induction studies
Work with vendors and clients for component specifications
Direct a small project team
Mentor less experienced staff
Develop proposals and cost estimates for new work
Required Qualifications
Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
Proficiency with PLS-CADD software
5+ years of experience in transmission line design
Knowledge of code requirements and cost estimate development
Experience with technical plans, drawings, and models
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Current PE license or ability to acquire within one year
Experience in developing engineering proposals and cost estimates
Experience with scheduling
Proficiency with PLS-TOWER, SAG10, LPILE, MFAD, ArcGIS, CDEGS, AutoCAD, MicroStation
