Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
Locations: Napa, CA 94558
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)
Traveler Weekly Blended Pay : $2046 weekly ($20/hr w2 + $1246/week stipend)
Locals Hourly Pay : $47/Hour
Position Summary:
- The ECHO Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiograms on patients to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions.
- This role involves operating ultrasound equipment, recording results, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and excellent patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms on patients to assess heart function and detect abnormalities
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment ensuring it functions correctly
- Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have
- Review and interpret preliminary results, highlighting any abnormal findings for the cardiologist
- Record and store echocardiogram images and patient information in the medical records system
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare team members to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety
- Monitor patient vitals and response during the procedure to ensure their well-being
- Maintain continuing education and stay updated with advances in echocardiography technology and practices
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during the diagnostic procedure
Required Qualifications:
- BLS,
- CCI RCS,
- State License: CA, National
