Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy
  • Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care
  • Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding
  • Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure
  • Reviews patient images prior to transmission for diagnostic quality
  • Completes quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance)
  • Adapts behavior to specific patient population
  • Performs other related duties as required

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved nuclear medicine program
  • Registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB
  • Registered in CT by ARRT or NMTCB
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Positron emission technology experience
