Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside plant facilities operate at maximum efficiency. You'll work on various tasks including cable placement, construction work, and vehicle operation, all while being part of a team that values your contributions.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant, including cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
