Job Description
Join Carrier as an HVAC Installer and make a significant impact on customer comfort through installation, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC systems. This role offers a chance to grow your skills in a supportive environment with a focus on teamwork and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect air-conditioning units to ensure efficient operation
Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units
Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions
Install, replace, or repair damaged equipment; calibrate thermostatic controls
Install new heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems
Repair or replace damaged or worn HVAC parts and equipment
Inspect and service refrigeration equipment
Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems
Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems
Assemble and install metal ductwork
Assist in planning and designing new installations
Maintain maintenance records as required
Recognize and identify potential risks and hazards
Collaborate with management to maintain safe working environments
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
3+ years of practical working experience in the HVAC Industry
Ability to enter into the Union Apprentice Program or currently enrolled
Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder and work on rooftops
Ability to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods
Valid and current Driver's License and insurable by the company's insurance carrier
