Position Overview

MedAdventures is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract opportunity at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Gainesville, Texas . The SLP will provide comprehensive speech therapy services to adult and geriatric residents, supporting communication, cognition, and swallowing functions in a long-term care setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working in a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with physician orders
• Provide therapy sessions based on clinical goals and resident needs
• Educate residents, families, and facility staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary care team
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies
• Monitor therapy outcomes and adjust plans as needed

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active SLP license in the state of Texas
• Excellent communication, clinical, and documentation skills
