Key Responsibilities
Operate radiology equipment to produce radiographic images
Instruct patients regarding imaging procedures
Position patients and perform mammographic and radiographic procedures
Review images for accuracy and technical quality
Assist with procedures and document required information
Utilize Radiology Information System (RIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Maintain inventory of supplies and monitor equipment condition
Communicate effectively with patients and staff
Exercise clinical judgment within scope of practice
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology training program
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Mammography Technologist
Radiologic Technologist Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Six months of experience as a rad tech/mammographer
