The Facilities Maintenance Controls Coordinator is responsible for managing contractors and service providers who perform maintenance on our facility systems and equipment. In this role, you will ensure compliance with food safety, human safety, and food defense protocols with any contractor and/or service provider. This role provides technical leadership for control systems, automation, as well as supporting industrial refrigeration and HVAC controls. Additionally, you will oversee parts inventory and cost management pertaining to controls systems.
What You’ll Do
- Manage contractors and service providers working on controls and automation while ensuring timely and high-quality maintenance
- Oversee control systems and automation, industrial refrigeration, HVAC and electrical systems controls
- Ensure vendor compliance with food safety, human safety, and food defense protocols, including EPA and OSHA standards
- Troubleshoot, upgrade, and provide technical support for control systems across all Wegmans locations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve standards for systems and equipment
- Review design documents, participate in site visits, and ensure project execution meets operational standards
- Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency
- Oversee parts inventory and cost management for the area of responsibility, including critical spares for control systems
- Train and develop maintenance team members, providing feedback, resources, and growth opportunities
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience with controls and automation and electrical equipment/systems in a maintenance environment
- 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and use them to safely and effectively troubleshoot an electrical controls system
- Experience with Allen Bradly, Emerson CPC Controls, Delta Controls, Industrial PLC’s and ION Enterprise
- Experience utilizing CMMS Systems
- Proficient with laptop-based interfaces for building management systems and onboard diagnostics
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of control systems and automation, with an emphasis on maintenance and operation of associated systems
- Experience developing maintenance programs
- Swiss log systems, SynQ and Autostore Control systems
