Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently performs advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding Operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol Reviews patient images prior to transmission Completes quality control procedures Assists in departmental operations Adapts behavior to specific patient populations Required QualificationsCompletion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible (required within 1 year of hire) Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications2 years of sonographer experience Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need
