Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Lima, Ohio (45801) – Ohio healthcare jobs
• Unit: Med/Surg Tele Ortho (7K)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Duration: 14 weeks
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 7, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights; every other weekend and holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1800
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5 (subject to change based on staffing)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state – Registered Nurse jobs in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)
• Experience with surgical drains and post-op orthopedic patient care preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans for orthopedic and medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and manage drips (Heparin, PCA with morphine, Dilaudid, etc.)
• Monitor and manage lines, drains, and devices (Hemovac, True-close, JP drains)
• Provide post-op care for backs, hips, knees, and trauma cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient care and discharge planning
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and quality of care
• Document care and patient responses using EPIC EHR (training provided)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies
