Key Responsibilities
Support licensed practitioners by providing clinical patient care in a behavioral health setting
Obtain vital signs and administer injections
Assist in medication administration
Perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces
Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association
6 months healthcare experience
6 months medical assistant experience
