Job Summary (List Format):

- Provide diagnostic and treatment services for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing and related disorders.
- Assess, test, treat, and evaluate pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, recognizing age-specific differences.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to restore patient function and prevent disability.
- Administer diagnostic testing procedures to determine the extent of impairment and prognosis for improvement.
- Set objective, measurable treatment goals and establish treatment plans based on patient needs and family input.
- Perform and adapt treatment procedures, reevaluate patients, and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Document patient care and education objectively and analytically.
- Communicate effectively with medical and allied health personnel regarding patient progress, needs, and discharge planning.
- Participate in quality improvement, program evaluation, and environmental and infection control programs.
- Train new personnel and provide guidance to aides and students.
- Engage in professional growth through educational programs, literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- Attend required meetings and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Consistently provide excellent service to patients, families, visitors, and coworkers, reflecting hospital values.
- Maintain current CPR certification and clinical competency.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards set by ASHA and maintain appropriate licensure.
- Utilize mathematical, reasoning, and basic computer skills as required.
