Key Responsibilities
Perform clinical documentation review of care delivered to Medicaid and Medicare patients
Create case investigation summaries for Peer Review
Review plans of correction from providers for QOC occurrences
Interface with external customers and providers to resolve quality of care concerns
Conduct oversight reviews of contractor work
Collaborate with Medical Directors and staff in other departments
Manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
Maintain timeliness for deliverables and regulator requests
Work independently with good critical thinking and communication skills
Occasional on-site provider visits for Quality of Care concerns
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted RN license in Arizona
5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse
1+ years of hospital experience as a Registered Nurse
Long-term care nursing experience
Experience evaluating and auditing medical records
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
Resident of Arizona
Willing to travel 25% of the time within Arizona
Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Quality Management experience in a healthcare setting
Experience analyzing information and preparing written summaries
Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations
