As a Special Education Aide, you will support K–12 students with autism and behavioral needs by implementing behavior plans and providing tailored assistance. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact in students' lives while collaborating closely with classroom teachers and specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students
Provide one-on-one or small group behavioral support
Collaborate with teachers and behavior specialists to create a supportive learning environment
Track and document behavioral data consistently
Communicate with special education staff, behavior analysts, and families
Support students with daily routines such as toileting, feeding, or mobility
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Experience providing personal care support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
US Work Authorization
English proficiency
Passion for supporting students
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting children with autism or complex emotional needs
Experience in special education with moderate to severe behaviors
