Travel Nurse Job Details

• Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Shifts: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1740 - $1860

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey RN license preferred)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience in Med/Surg nursing
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care by following individualized nursing care plans
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning from day one
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to safety protocols
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel
• Contribute positively to team building and a supportive work environment
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
