Job Description
Join the Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies as a Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Specialist, where you will play a key role in supporting government projects in O'ahu, Hawai'i. Your expertise in AutoCAD will help design and maintain essential infrastructure diagrams, contributing to vital telecommunication and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide as-built drawings for NEC Baseline support and Mission support
Design and build Infrastructure diagrams of piping, cabling, and instrumentation
Update rack elevations, network diagrams, and butterfly/shadow diagrams
Collaborate with DPW team to access records and implement red line changes
Work with infrastructure technicians to capture changes for diagrams
Update existing diagrams independently
Maintain to-scale drawings in AutoCAD with relevant details
Maintain and utilize Army systems for managing engineering drawings
Maintain electronic and hard copy plant-in-place drawing library
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree and a minimum of two years of experience in telecommunication and engineering-based drawings
High school diploma and five years of experience in telecommunication and engineering-based drawings
Minimum of two years of experience developing Infrastructure telecommunication and engineering-based drawings
Proficient with AutoCAD
Ability to work in confined spaces
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of an AutoCAD course
Experience with CAIRS
Experience in DoD IT environment
