Key Responsibilities
Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations
Facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel
Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances
Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States
Preventing illegal entry and smuggling of contraband
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
Age restriction (must be referred before 40th birthday)
One year of specialized experience or education equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher
LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university
Spanish language skills (for certain locations)
