Job Description
Join Providence as a Senior Phlebotomist and play a vital role in patient care by performing essential laboratory duties and training new staff. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of providing compassionate care to our communities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform clinical laboratory duties including specimen handling and processing
Collect blood samples by venipuncture or capillary stick
Train new staff as assigned
Communicate respectfully with patients and lab staff
Perform additional duties such as EKG and drug screen collection if assigned
Required Qualifications
Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
2 years experience in a clinical lab setting
Experience in 7 of the basic skills described in the essential functions
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy training Program/Course approved by WA State
