Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact nursing license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• AHCA clearance required for all Florida travel nurses
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Stroke Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and perform prescribed treatments
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, stroke care, and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment according to hospital policies
