Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician where you'll ensure the optimal condition of outside plant facilities, contributing to America's fastest and most reliable network. This hands-on role involves a variety of responsibilities, from managing cables and poles to operating company vehicles, all while working in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items up to 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
