Job Description
Join Lincoln Electric as a Mechanical Plant Engineer and play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing capabilities. You'll tackle technical challenges and ensure our equipment and processes meet safety and productivity standards, all while contributing to exciting projects in our Cleveland and Mentor facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate on capital projects for manufacturing facilities
Take responsibility for mechanical aspects of projects
Develop engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety
Create and maintain sustainable documentation
Design solutions compliant with ISO 14001 and EHS initiatives
Provide capital cost estimates and establish project timelines
Specify and solicit equipment quotations
Deliver technical support to Production and Maintenance departments
Coordinate with process engineering, production, maintenance, and supply management
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Strong desire to take ownership of tasks
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Good judgment and self-motivation
Commitment to safety
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks
Flexibility to handle diverse assignments
Ability to perform hands-on work
Technically proficient in CAD modeling
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Solid Edge and AutoCAD
Willingness to occasionally work off shifts
Ability to travel between facilities in Northeast Ohio
