Job Description
As a U.S. Army Orthopedic Surgeon, you will treat Soldiers' musculoskeletal injuries and conditions through both surgical and nonsurgical means. Key Responsibilities
Conduct surgical and nonsurgical treatment for Soldiers and their families
Diagnose and determine treatment for musculoskeletal disorders
Utilize state-of-the-art medical equipment
Engage in continued education and research
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
Current license to practice medicine in the U.S., D.C., or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
Completion of at least one year of approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
U.S. citizenship for Active Duty or permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the field of Orthopedics
Continuing education in medical practices
