Job Description

As a U.S. Army Orthopedic Surgeon, you will treat Soldiers' musculoskeletal injuries and conditions through both surgical and nonsurgical means. This role offers a unique opportunity to serve your country while advancing your medical career with access to state-of-the-art equipment and continued education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct surgical and nonsurgical treatment for Soldiers and their families
  • Diagnose and determine treatment for musculoskeletal disorders
  • Utilize state-of-the-art medical equipment
  • Engage in continued education and research

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
  • Current license to practice medicine in the U.S., D.C., or Puerto Rico
  • Eligibility for board certification
  • Completion of at least one year of approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
  • U.S. citizenship for Active Duty or permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the field of Orthopedics
  • Continuing education in medical practices
