Job Description

As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, conducting worship services and performing religious rites. You will be an essential leader in fostering morale and ethical well-being within the military community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services in various settings
  • Perform religious rites and ceremonies
  • Counsel individuals seeking guidance
  • Oversee religious education programs
  • Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel
  • Train lay leaders for religious education programs
  • Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
  • Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
  • Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
