Key Responsibilities
Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessments
Document assessments and communicate significant changes in condition
Participate in the care planning process and update care plans as needed
Implement nursing interventions and ensure timely medication administration
Notify physicians of changes in resident conditions using SBARR
Monitor resident care and identify problem areas for resolution
Assist with residents' activities of daily living (ADLs)
Required Qualifications
Education from an accredited school of nursing that results in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse
Current LPN license in the state of Missouri
CPR and AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
IV certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
Ability to assess the basic nursing care needs of the geriatric resident
Excellent communication skills
Time management and organizational skills
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques
Ability to transfer and move patients weighing 200+ lbs
Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40 lbs
Manual dexterity and coordination
Visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color
Ability to perform necessary documentation electronically and in writing
