Job Description

Join Stanford School of Medicine as a Research Coordinator, contributing to impactful melanoma research. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance health equity through collaboration and innovative research practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and administration of survey instruments
  • Meeting planning and support
  • Keep track of project plans and budgetary expenditures
  • Schedule research team meetings and update project plans
  • Draft IRB applications and submit application for approvals
  • Draft regulatory and project reports
  • Review and audit case reports for accurate data collection
  • Assist with building research instruments using standard survey tools
  • Work with PI and other research staff in data synthesis and interpretation
  • Conduct literature reviews on assigned research topics
  • Contribute to data analysis and quality control
  • Update research materials and submit to IRB
  • Assist with the design of outreach materials and educational tools
  • Coordinate and contribute to collaborative research activities
  • May supervise and support other staff

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in an applicable social science related field
  • General understanding of scientific theory and methods
  • General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs
  • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with human study participants

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of taking initiative and problem-solving
  • Experience with standard medical research database and survey programs
  • Experience with NVivo or equivalent software
  • Experience using statistical software such as R or STATA
  • Experience with collaborative software programs
  • Substantial experience with standard software packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong skills in developing and maintaining community partnerships
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Prior research experience in social science, public health, or medical research
  • Prior experience in developing literature review or research reports
  • Professional level fluency in Spanish
