Operating Room RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2170
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Operating Room
• Shift Schedule: 10-hour day shifts (6:30am – 5:00pm or 7:00am – 5:30pm)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call Requirement: One weekday call every other week and one weekend call every 5th weekend (must be within 30 minutes of the hospital)
• Start Date: November 14, 2025
• End Date: February 13, 2026
• Charting System: Cerner Millennium

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Moderate sedation training required
• PACU or Outpatient Surgery experience preferred
• Ability to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to surgical patients in the Operating Room
• Manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate proficiency in moderate sedation and emergency response protocols
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner Millennium
• Participate in scheduled call rotation
• Support a fast-paced surgical environment with an average of 18 cases per day (up to 35 cases on busy days)
