Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Location: Concord, MA
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 3x12s or 4x12s | 36–48 hours/week
Schedule: Every other weekend & every other holiday
Overtime: OT available after 48 hours per week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our healthcare team in Concord, MA . The ideal candidate will have acute care experience and a passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a dynamic hospital environment.

This role offers flexibility with 36 or 48-hour work weeks and opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient transport and transfer within the department and hospital.
• Administer oxygen via nasal cannula, NRB, and BVM.
• Apply NIBP, ECG electrodes, pulse oximetry, and end-tidal CO₂ for central monitoring.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and family requests.
• Support age-appropriate patient safety and care under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as directed by nursing personnel.
• Float to various units as needed and perform unit-related tasks assigned by the Nurse Director or designee.
• Obtain, document, and report vital signs and intake/output measurements.
• Perform ECGs and capillary blood glucose testing; report abnormal results to the RN.
• Participate in unit and hospital projects aimed at improving patient care.
• Maintain patients’ rights to privacy, respect, and quality care.

Requirements:

• Acute care experience required
• BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to changing workloads and patient needs
