Job Description

Join Kaiser as an Addiction Medicine Therapist and provide essential chemical dependency services to diverse populations. Utilizing your expertise, you'll conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and guide patients through their recovery journey. This role allows you to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals and families facing addiction challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answers and triages patient calls for information and crisis calls
  • Provides higher level assessment including non-CD MH diagnoses
  • Performs intake and psychosocial assessments
  • Develops and presents treatment plans
  • Participates in clinical case conferences
  • Conducts chemical dependency focused educational lectures
  • Provides individual and group counseling services
  • Provides Adolescent, Significant Other, Family and Multi-Family therapy
  • Provides case management services
  • May mentor CDRP/S Counselors I and II, student interns, and others

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years post graduate relevant supervised addiction medicine therapy experience within the last five (5) years
  • Master's degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or other field related to behavioral health
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level II
