Med/Surg LPN Job Details

• Location: Brevard, North Carolina (Zip: 28712)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care / Med/Surg Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel LPN contract
• Start Date: November 2, 2025
• End Date: February 1, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Shift: 7:00pm – 7:00am (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1150 - $1230
• Team Model: Team-based care with daily interdisciplinary rounds

LPN Qualifications

• Active LPN or LVN license (North Carolina or compact state)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, acute care environment
• Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred
• Willingness to work weekend rotations and holiday shifts as needed

Med/Surg LPN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit
• Perform clinical tasks including IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, EKG monitoring, and wound care
• Accurately monitor and document patient status using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), Nursing Assistants (NAs), and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to Transitional Care Unit (TCU) as required
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (navy blue scrubs)
