Job Description
Join Uncommon Schools as a College Counselor, where you'll inspire and guide high school students through the college application process, ensuring they are well-prepared for their post-secondary education. Your role will not only involve teaching essential skills but also fostering partnerships with families and colleges to help students achieve their dreams.
Key Responsibilities
Teach 11th and 12th grade college seminar courses guiding students through the college application process
Build a culture of college and career readiness among students
Collaborate with parents and families for positive partnerships
Participate in professional development and conferences
Build relationships with college admissions offices
Support planning and execution of college visits and information sessions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of two years experience in an urban district or charter school setting
Prior experience working with high school students and families and/or within the college admissions field
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
