Job Description

Join Uncommon Schools as a College Counselor, where you'll inspire and guide high school students through the college application process, ensuring they are well-prepared for their post-secondary education. Your role will not only involve teaching essential skills but also fostering partnerships with families and colleges to help students achieve their dreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach 11th and 12th grade college seminar courses guiding students through the college application process
  • Build a culture of college and career readiness among students
  • Collaborate with parents and families for positive partnerships
  • Participate in professional development and conferences
  • Build relationships with college admissions offices
  • Support planning and execution of college visits and information sessions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of two years experience in an urban district or charter school setting
  • Prior experience working with high school students and families and/or within the college admissions field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
