Job Description

As a Patient Services Representative at Barnabas Health, you will enhance patient experiences by managing appointments, triaging calls, and ensuring efficient operations. Your role is integral to patient satisfaction and safety within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient check-in and check-out functions
  • Answer routine questions in person and over the telephone
  • Perform basic clerical functions
  • Create and maintain health record information
  • Coordinate with insurance providers for pre-authorizations

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Relevant experience and/or training
  • Understanding of patient satisfaction and safety
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to travel if required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree
  • Previous medical receptionist experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
