Job Description
As a Patient Services Representative at Barnabas Health, you will enhance patient experiences by managing appointments, triaging calls, and ensuring efficient operations. Your role is integral to patient satisfaction and safety within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient check-in and check-out functions
Answer routine questions in person and over the telephone
Perform basic clerical functions
Create and maintain health record information
Coordinate with insurance providers for pre-authorizations
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Relevant experience and/or training
Understanding of patient satisfaction and safety
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attention to accuracy and detail
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Ability to work independently and in a team
Willingness to travel if required
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or bachelor's degree
Previous medical receptionist experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
Bilingual in Spanish and English
