- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN or leadership certification preferred

- Prior experience in correctional healthcare or public health setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of NCCHC and WASPC accreditation standards
- CPR/BLS certification (AHA-approved)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background checks and drug screening

- Direct and manage daily nursing operations within the correctional facility.
- Supervise, train, and support nursing staff, including RNs and LPNs.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, infection control procedures, and medication administration standards.
- Coordinate patient care and triage processes in collaboration with the Medical Director and other providers.
- Conduct regular audits, quality improvement initiatives, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with NCCHC, WASPC, and applicable local, state, and federal standards.
- Participate in administrative and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Oversee scheduling and coverage planning to maintain 24/7 nursing presence.
- Serve as a liaison with internal healthcare leadership and custody personnel for operational coordination.
- Respond to clinical emergencies and assist with incident reviews and critical event documentation.
