Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician where you'll ensure outside plant facilities are in top condition. Your expertise will help maintain the efficiency and preparedness of Verizon’s network, contributing to a community that values innovation and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant including cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles and working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
