Software Engineer — Data Platform (Remote)

The Demographic Data team, part of the AI Platform, will design and build the foundation for collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing demographic data to gain insight. This includes the web UI as part of the job seeker experience, the online transactional data store, the offline analytical data store, and batch data processing (e.g., You understand how to use data to make recommendations. You have a passion for producing the highest quality code as well as leading others to do the same. You are someone who either has built or is passionate about building scalable, reliable systems that span multiple data centers around the world and handle millions of requests every day. Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues, performing root cause analysis, and providing timely solutions to production problems. # Work to implement data pipelines (ETLs) in order to integrate data from a variety of sources into Indeed’s Data Warehouse # Participate in code and design reviews in the team to maintain high-quality standards # Work closely with product managers and collaborators to align software solutions with business needs # Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field # Solid knowledge of data structures & algorithms and excellent programming skills # Proven experience in Web application development, REST APIs, high performing, high volume transaction processing # Deep understanding of best engineering practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations # Knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL # Ability to work efficiently on a remote/distributed team # A general knowledge of AWS and running applications in the cloud is a plus US Remote $109,000 - $159,000 USD per year Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
