The Regional Medical Director Primary Care provides leadership and oversight to primary care providers within the region, focusing on performance, development, and engagement. They ensure safe and effective care delivery through coaching and collaboration with clinical and operational leaders. This role supports value-based care models, population health initiatives, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
The Regional Medical Director Primary Care (RMD) supports the vision, strategy, and operational goals of the LPG Primary Care Division. This position provides regional physician leadership, responsible for the engagement, performance, and development of primary care providers in the assigned region. The RMD ensures safe, effective, and efficient care delivery through coaching, performance monitoring, and collaboration with operational and clinical leaders. The RMD partners closely with the Medical Director of Primary Care and System Director of Primary Care to support implementation of value-based care models, population health initiatives, and continuous improvement in quality, cost, and patient experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school; board certified in a primary care specialty.
Experience:Minimum of 35 years of clinical experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Certification:Board Certified in a specialty or subspecialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
License:Must have and maintain an unrestricted, active license to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine, as applicable, in the State of Florida.
Other:Demonstrated communication, leadership, and team-building skills. Must be able to facilitate change, support performance improvement, and promote engagement across multidisciplinary teams.
