Key Responsibilities
Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for patients of all ages
Confirm imaging orders for completeness and accuracy
Review patient history and supporting clinical data for medical necessity
Contact ordering physician if inadequate reason for test is supplied
Exercise independent judgment in interpretation and analysis of exams
Provide preliminary diagnosis of technical findings to the physician
Prepare patients and collect relevant information for procedures
Analyze quality of images and processes as required
Compile appropriate records to expedite results
Follow department specific standard work and policies
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree or completion of a Certification Program in Ultrasonography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiology
ARDMS registered (or registry eligible) in abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN), vascular technology (RVT) or Cardiac echo (RDCS)
CPR Certification from American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
