Travel Nurse Job Details

• Setting: Operating Room (OR) – Surgical Services
• Start Date: December 10, 2025
• End Date: March 11, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Day shifts – 4x10 hour shifts per week (flexible start times: 8:00am, 9:00am, or 10:00am)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: 1 shift per week and every 4th to 5th weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,190 - $2,350

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience in a hospital or medical center
• Clinical skills in Gyn, Podiatry, General/Breast, Ortho, Urology, Plastics, and Neuro surgical cases
• Experience with DaVinci robotics preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred (training available)
• Scrub experience a plus
• At least 1 completed travel nurse contract within the past 18 months (no first-time travelers)
• Submission of resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, certifications, and references (including one supervisory reference from the past 2 years)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients
• Circulate and/or scrub for diverse surgical specialties: Gyn, Ortho, Neuro, and more
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulatory standards
