Position details:
Position- Family Nurse Practitioner
Location- Charlottesville, VA
Contract- 03 months contract with higher extension possibilities
Shift- Work Hours- Monday-Friday 0830 to 1730, Training Palmyra Clinic Tues- Thursday 0830-1930
Position Summary:
• The role involves accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning.
• The Nurse Practitioner will report directly to the practice manager.
• MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioners work collaboratively with a dedicated clinical care team to provide evidence-based care to patients.
Key Duties:
• Provide primary and family evidence-based care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, health counseling, and disposition planning.
• Perform administrative duties such as opening/closing the clinic, managing inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Handle patient appointments and conduct routine examinations to ensure positive health outcomes.
• Communicate with patients about healthy lifestyle choices and complete diagnostic tests for injury or illness diagnosis and treatment.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive care plan.
• Encourage patients to actively participate in their healthcare through health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, and chronic condition management.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• Minimum of 1-year recent Primary Care experience as Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant preferred; or completion of CVS MinuteClinic primary care training program.
• Knowledge of quality measurement in managing chronic diseases.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, electronic), organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Self-motivated with problem-solving ability, adaptability, and the ability to work autonomously and remotely.
• Proficiency in information management and technology.
• Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues.
