ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PACU
Job Details:
• Work variable 4x10 hour shifts with start times varying from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• 40 hours per week guaranteed, except during holidays when unit may be closed
• Weekend call requirement every 5th weekend with 30-minute response time
• On-call duty one night per week for 4 weeks out of 6-week schedule
• Weekday call hours from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, then overnight call from 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Holiday rotation required
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratio in 14-bay PACU unit serving approximately 35 patients per day
• Provide post-operative recovery care for general, spine, neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, peripheral vascular, and orthopedic procedures
• Stabilize ICU patients before transferring to intensive care unit
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Minimum 2+ years PACU experience with recent hospital experience required
• Post cardiac and pediatrics experience needed
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred, previous electronic charting experience required
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• May be placed on call during low census periods
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
