Nephrologist Opportunity – Hybrid Outpatient/Inpatient Practice
University Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nephrologist to join our expanding program in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. As one of the most respected public health systems in the country, this role offers a balanced 4 week + 1 week hybrid schedule between outpatient and inpatient care in a supportive, patient-focused environment.
This is a full-time position focused on clinical excellence with optional involvement in resident/fellow and medical student education. It is a perfect blend of academic and private practice settings.
Position Highlights:
- Outpatient Practice (Monday–Friday)
- 80% clinic and 20% dialysis (both home and in-center)
- Well-established patient base with strong support staff
- Supervision and collaboration with experienced nephrology APPs
- Inpatient Service (Monday–Friday)
- Daily rounding on nephrology patients
- Supervision and collaboration with experienced nephrology APPs
- Night and weekend Call
- Administrative Time Provided
- Dedicated time for documentation, patient messages, and care coordination
Additional Opportunities:
