Hospice Pharmacist Pay: $62.02 per hour
Hospice Pharmacist Location: Tempe, AZ 85288 – On-site at the client’s company
Hospice Pharmacist Schedule: Monday–Friday | Two Shifts Available
Shift 1: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Shift 2: 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Hospice Pharmacist Overview:
The client’s company, a closed-door pharmacy specializing in hospice care , is seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Hospice Pharmacists to join their Tempe team. This role focuses on accurately dispensing medications for hospice patients while maintaining compliance, efficiency, and patient-centered care.
Hospice Pharmacist Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications for hospice patients.
Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential interactions.
Ensure all dispensing practices comply with state and federal regulations.
Maintain precise and confidential pharmacy and patient records.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and clerical staff.
Manage pharmaceutical inventory and ensure timely medication delivery.
Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and hospice care teams to ensure seamless patient support.
Hospice Pharmacist Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree required.
Active Arizona Pharmacist License in good standing.
Proficient with computers and pharmacy software systems.
Strong multitasking ability and sense of urgency in patient care.
Fluent in English with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
