Key Responsibilities
Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures
Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections and wound care
Develop and implement patient management plans
Instruct and counsel patients on compliance and health maintenance
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Record physical findings and formulate plans
Collaborate with physicians and health professionals
Prescribe or recommend medications and treatments
Refer patients to physicians or specialized health resources
Maintain medical records
Required Qualifications
All state licenses/certifications to practice
Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable)
Current national certification (NCCPA required)
Degree from ARC-PA accredited program
Federal DEA license
State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license (if required)
CPR Certification (BLS or ACLS)
Preferred Qualifications
At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant
Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations
Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support
Appropriate certification to write prescriptions
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
Training skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills
Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
