Home Infusion Nurse - PRN at National Recruiters summary:

The Home Infusion Nurse (PRN) provides in-home intravenous immune globulin (IVIg) therapy, administering medications such as Gamunex-C and Dextrose 5% while monitoring patient labs regularly. This role requires delivering personalized nursing care, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure effective treatment in a home setting. The nurse must have active licensure, IVIg experience, BLS certification, and reliable transportation to support patient visits in Cheney, WA.

We are seeking an infusion nurse (RN) with IVIg experience interested in providing in-home infusions for a local patient.

Infusion Details:
  • Medication:
    • Gamunex-C 10% Vial - Infuse 35 gm (350 mL) intravenously once every 4 weeks
    • Dextrose 5% Bag - Infuse 1000 mL intravenously during IVIG infusion
    • Dextrose hydration - to be ran via separate line using a Y site-concurrently with IVIG
  • Labs: Nurse to draw CMP, CBC with different/platelets, and IgG QN Serum prior to every 3rd infusion (Last lab draw was 06/02/25)
  • Length of treatment:
    • Gamunex-C: 3 hours and 15 minutes + prep time
  • Location: Cheney, WA 99004
  • Date of Service: 8/25/25
  • Access: PIV - Hardstick
  • Pump: Curlin Pump
Preferences:
  • Patient is ok with morning or afternoon visits
  • Patient has a dog at home
Responsibilities of the PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurse
  • Deliver immune globulin infusion therapies directly to the patient in the comfort of their home.
  • Make a meaningful impact by leveraging your clinical IV expertise and compassionate care to support patients within their environment.
  • Provide personalized, one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education aligned with the physician's treatment plan.
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other collaborative partners.
Requirements of the PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurse:
  • Active and unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (approved by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • IVIg experience, preferably in the home
  • A valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance are required, with access to a vehicle for business-related travel
  • A clear background check
