Job Description

Join TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center as an Emergency Room Nurse Manager, where you'll oversee daily operations and staffing to ensure high-quality patient care. Leverage your leadership skills to create a superior clinical identity, manage personnel, and improve patient safety and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the daily function and staffing of the unit
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing care provision in accordance with established policies
  • Help create a superior clinical identity through operationalizing evidence-based practices
  • Manage staffing needs and personnel management including interviewing, hiring, and training
  • Oversee patient care on the unit, providing support and expertise to the staff
  • Manage and coordinate all unit activities including safety procedures and unit goals
  • Handle patient, visitor, or physician complaints promptly and professionally
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and counseling to department employees
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to improve patient care delivery

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Tennessee or compact state required
  • Previous management/leadership experience in a hospital setting required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) must be obtained within 1 year of hire
