Key Responsibilities
Implements individualized physical therapy treatment programs as designed by a physical therapist.
Assists in performing patient evaluations and administers treatment interventions.
Monitors and adjusts interventions based on patient response.
Identifies and informs physical therapists of changes in patient status.
Utilizes adaptive/supportive equipment for patients.
Trains patients and families in the use of prescribed orthotics/equipment.
Records assessments and treatment in the patient medical record.
Delegates aspects of the physical therapy plan to aides.
Maintains safety of the work environment.
Participates in other duties as needed to maintain daily operations.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Physical Therapy
Current Massachusetts license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
Preferred Qualifications
One year of licensed Physical Therapy Assistant experience in adolescent sports medicine & athlete performance
