PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Auburn, WA 98001 (travel nursing job in Washington state)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Nursing Resource (float position throughout Auburn, and possibly Covington, to any PCU level patient or below)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 1/31/2026)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Charting System: EPIC EMR
• Scrubs: Any color (navy blue preferred; no camo)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1880–$2020

PCU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and BiPAP management, invasive line management, ostomy care, general drains, chest tubes, lumbar drains, IV medication titration, and CIWA patient treatment
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply!

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Float throughout Auburn and possibly Covington to provide care for PCU level patients or below, with a focus on ED overflow
• Deliver patient care to a diverse population, including those with respiratory distress, ESRD, AKI, COPD, GI bleeds, sepsis, post-op needs, CVA, ETOH, overdose, CHF, post Cath or IR, and CIWA
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage advanced respiratory and invasive lines
• Administer IV medications and manage complex clinical situations
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
